Job/occupation: Medical Geneticist - Although he did think about letting go of his hard earned career in favor of marrying his Usako and helping her to rule her kingdom, because of his engagement being called off Mamoru has not yet stepped back from being a doctor. He specializes in patients who have diseases that are genetically-linked, including birth defects, mental retardation, autism, metabolic and mitochondrial disorders and many others. He generally doesn’t see patients unless they have been referred to him by another doctor.

Security (Yes/No): Yes, he has it. Though he still has his reservations at times about having someone falling him around and keeping an eye on him, Mamoru has seen the value of having security and so he allows it.

Personality: Mamoru is a highly intelligent, very strong-willed individual, having no choice but to go through life's trials and tribulations alone as an orphan, and becoming extremely independent and cocky as a result. Although he doesn't often show it, he is also a rather insecure and doubtful young man. He has his shortcomings, and he knows it. He is a polite and dignified person, although he can be a little distant and reserved with people he doesn't know very well. He has a calm personality and usually takes things with an easy going mind. He is kind of quiet, unlike his beloved princess. After he got to know them, Mamoru became less reserved with the other senshi. However, he still only truly shares his thoughts and feelings with Usagi and to a lesser degree his once future daughter Chibiusa. He is highly observant and perceptive, having noticed that Luna could speak and even going so far as to tease her to continue doing so on a public bus. He is driven by honor, dignity and his undying love for Usagi.

When he first met Usagi they were both kind of antagonistic towards each other, especially with all of his witty comments each time Usagi throws something at his head or about her hairstyle. However, that didn't last long as they eventually developed romantic feelings towards each other even before he remembered who he truly was. When he is with Usagi, and to a lesser degree his once future daughter Chibiusa, he can really open up and share his true thoughts and feelings. He is extremely loyal to these two very special individuals. He has a very hard time saying no to both Usagi and his future daughter, doing his very best to always keep them safe and happy.

Mamoru was very hurt when Usagi gave him his engagement ring back and unfortunately discovered that buried underneath the years of emotional composure he generally showed the world lurked quite a temper. It was difficult for him to control at first. Years of bottling up anger and defensiveness tends to lead to difficulties in controlling that anger once it’s been unleashed.

However, over the last five years Mamoru has worked on gaining control of his emotions once more. He tries to be more open with others, especially his beloved Usako and he has learned to express his new found temper in more healthy ways.

Family: Mamoru’s parents are both deceased, however he still tends to view Usagi as his family

History: On Mamoru’s sixth birthday, he and his parents were involved in a violent motor accident in which his parents perished. Due to the serious injuries sustained, Mamoru, the sole survivor, completely lost his memories-- parents, life, name and all. Eventually he began having dreams of a princess and the silver crystal. That was what started his journey as Tuxedo Kamen in his search for the silver crystal in the hopes that it might restore his memories of who he really was.

At the age of 18, while studying a jewelry store and wondering if it might have the silver crystal, he was hit in the face by a flying test paper. This was his first meeting with his soon to be beloved Usagi, although in this meeting he only succeeded in insulting her grades and her hairstyle. Their next couple of meetings were also rather antagonistic, however even before he knew who he was he eventually began to have feelings for the small blonde.

He was the first to discover Usagi’s identity as Sailor Moon, which he did by retrieving her kerchief at the ball and seeing her name printed on it. He revealed his own identity and reasons for wanting the silver crystal to her the day she fainted from saving the city from Zoisite. From this moment on he agonized about not having enough power to do very much to help Sailor Moon. Eventually after saving her from getting attacked by Kunzite, Mamoru died. He returned as a Dark Kingdom warrior. Sailor Moon was able to return him to himself and then he in turn helped her find the power to destroy Metallia.

He became rather close to Chibiusa when he first met her, doing his best to help and to keep her safe especially after finding out that she was in fact his future daughter. It was during this time that he almost neglected his beloved Usagi, causing her to believe that he might love Chibiusa more then he did her. The moment he realized this however, Mamoru made certain that Usagi knew that he loved her with all of his heart.

During the time of Nephrenia, Mamoru’s health began to deteriorate where he would suddenly experience sharp pains in his chest and cough up black blood. The pain would occur suddenly, anytime, and after awhile it got so bad he could not breathe very well and he would collapse into unconsciousness. He refused to burden his beloved Usagi with worry however, and attempted to keep his illness from her. It was eventually discovered that he was being affected by the unhealthy status of the Earth which was being affected by Elysion.

Two years after having met her, Mamoru gives Usagi an engagement ring in the airport before leaving to study at Harvard University due to his exceptional thesis. Unfortunately he never even gets to board the plane because Galaxia arrives and steals his golden star seed.

After Sailor Moon defeated Galaxia, Mamoru continued with his studies. He became an accomplished geneticist. He also took a few law courses knowing that he would eventually become the king of the New Earth alongside his beloved Usagi. He wanted to be the best king that he could be, not to mention help Usagi in whatever trials would await her when she finally accepted her crown. However, no matter how busy he got in his studies or later his career, Mamoru always found time to be there for his future wife.

When their identities were leaked to the press, Mamoru wasn’t terribly concerned for himself although he soon found much to his displeasure that it meant his privacy was pretty much gone. It was difficult to keep up his career, but he had worked hard for it and so he didn’t intend to give it up until he had to.

The very next year he proudly watched Usagi be coronated and painfully watched his relationship die all for the sake of a secret he had chosen to keep for various reasons that no longer mattered much to him. He learned the hard way that the future they were shown, the little girl he had come to love as a daughter might never be or at the very least wouldn’t be what they had all expected. Mamoru overcame all of this however and discovered that what mattered most to him was Usagi’s happiness. He worked hard to court her as he had never done before and eventually managed to win Usagi’s heart again. Mamoru has convinced Usagi to become engaged to him again, though he hasn’t told anyone yet.

Powers: Mamoru is gifted with power of psychometry, which gives him the ability to be able to feel what another person is feeling just by the touch of his hands. It's almost telepathic, but with psychometry, not only can Mamoru know what another is feeling or thinking, he can also transmit his own feelings to the person in contact, sometimes to give encouragement. By touching Chibiusa's hand, Mamoru receives flashes of Crystal Tokyo and its destruction, which are actually Chibiusa's thoughts and memories. Whenever Sailor Moon weakens, it is Mamoru/Tuxedo Mask who gives her his power, his strength and his determination, through his sensual kiss and his warm touch. He was also able to show Sailor Moon what had happened to her friends after she had healed him by simply touching the ground. Another bonus which Mamoru gains from this power is his ability to heal himself and to sustain the lives of others. He was able to sustain the life of Chibiusa when her heart crystal was stolen by touching her hand and connecting his heartbeat to her. He can also monitor the status of the earth, of course that means that if the Earth were to be cursed again then it would also affect his life as well.

Mamoru also has a vague ability to channel the spirits of the Shitennou through the four precious stones that he believes is all that is left of them. He has had at least one conversation with them in which they were able to give him comfort in the fact that he could protect his beloved Usagi even if most of her senshi were gone. He can also use that power to heal someone.

These are thing that he can do regardless of whether he was Mamoru or Tuxedo Kamen, however he eventually learned to also be able to create a blast of energy from his hand using the Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber attack.

Mamoru does not hold the raw power of the senshi and knows that he can never be as powerful as they are. He does hold the golden crystal, but he has no control over it as of yet.

Past life (yes/no/where): Mamoru started out not having any memories of his past. However, he did eventually start to remember who he really was. Although his memories aren’t perfectly complete he remembers the bond he shared with the Shitennou and he remembers that he was once the prince of the Golden Kingdom. He still has trouble remembering things like the family he must have had back in the Old Earth. However, his strongest memories still revolve around his beloved princess. He does have a connection with his planet, though it is still not as strong a union as it was during the Old Earth.
