Appearance: The only physical trait that Larentia shares with Lecta is her size. She is on the small size, standing only 5'2" tall with a slender body frame. However, the resemblance stops there. Larentia has long straight brown hair that reaches her waist and mysterious wolfish gray eyes.
Larentia doesn't like the classic preppy style skirts and shirts that her sister favors. She usually wears modest skirts and shirts in varying colors of blues, grays, browns, and whites. While she's in school she will wear her uniform (usually a navy blue skirt that goes just above her knees, with a white collared blouse with a light gray sweater vest over it and a pale blue and silver tie. On her vest is the school's steal with the letters TRPS in navy blue and silver boarders. Like her cousin Lexine, Larentia wears the Steve Madden version of the black Mary Janes along with white knee high socks.) and even during non school hours at times. She wears her hair down with her bangs a little wild. Her mother is a beautician, so her hair is always immaculately groomed. However, she detests make up and refuses to wear it.
Heritage: Larentia's mother came from a long line of witches and warlocks dating back to Scotland during the Elizabethan period. Her father comes from a long line of panther shapeshifters, a very proud and old fashion family who believe they are a different race and species. They see humans as inferior, and other supernatural beings such as witches.
History: Larentia is the daughter of Laurel Wilder and Dantae Giovonni . Her mother is an extremely stubborn woman from a very traditional and proud family. Larentia was given her mother's maiden surname Wilder, because of such traditions. She is very happy to be a Wilder. Although Larentia prefers her mother's family and feels more connected to the Wilders, she gets along with her father's family pretty well. Although she can't shapeshift into a panther, she can at least shapeshift into a wolf and this allows her to be partially accepted as a Giovonni, a fact that bothers her older sister Lecta.
Originally from northern California, Larentia is now extremely happy to be a part of the city that her mother's family live in. While growing up, Larentia was a shy and timid little girl. She hardly ever talked to someone outside of her family. She never really felt like she belonged anywhere. The fact her mother was a witch and had these magical powers certainly never bothered Larentia, except for the fact that she wanted to have them as well.
The Wilder family with their traditions and pride were also cursed when it came to marriage. Five years ago Larentia's parents separated and for the past two years have been fighting for a divorce. Laurel's older sister Lilac's husband is her divorce lawyer, but unlike her sister, this doesn't particularly bother Larentia and it certainly doesn't stop her from adoring her Aunt Lilac and her children in general.
California wasn't the life for Larentia's mother who originally came from New York City. Laurel took her children and moved across country back to the city that never sleeps when Larentia was only 12 years old. Larentia was thrilled to move to her mother's old home, especially after all the stories her mother had told her. From the moment that Larentia met her maternal family, she begin to become less shy and more talkative, at least around her family. She adored her maternal grandmother Lois, or Grams as she liked to be called.
The moment that Grams wanted Larentia to start training her powers which her mother had binded, she was ecstatic. She threw herself into her training sessions with a will and before long she was pretty well skilled to control her powers.
When she began Junior high, Larentia started to become the shy and timid child again. It was like she was two different people. In school she was extremely shy and timid, the student that was most able to be picked on by the popular crowd. While at home with her family, Larentia was talkative and bold.
Her mother runs and owns the local beauty shop in New York. Larentia and her family live with her grandmother in her infamous Manor. Whenever its possible, Larentia will be at her grandmother's Manor or at one of the homes of the rest of her family.
Personality: Larentia is a sweet and caring girl, just like her sister. She is the one her friends can turn to for advice, and trust to keep their secrets. However, where Lecta adores being the center of attention, Larentia is more timid and shy. She is loyal to her friends and certainly doesn't mind hanging out with them. However, she has a hard time meeting new people and so she tends to stick with the same group of friends. She knows she isn't as popular as her sister, but she could care less. Larentia is a good student and she is well liked by all her teachers. She is relatively cheerful, but she hides her emotions well. After all she doesn't want to bring attention to herself. Larentia has never wanted to belong to any sort of school team, although she would do very well if she ever joined the track team. Although Larentia can speak both English and Italian fluently, she rarely ever speaks with an accent. She taught herself not to have an accent, simply because it was another thing that would draw attention to herself.
When it comes to her family, Larentia is completely different. She loves the powers she was born into and will do anything she is asked to do by her fellow family members. She is very talkative and friendly to her cousins. If anyone ever just saw her with her family, it would be hard to believe that she was incredibly shy to outsiders.
Larentia loves writing, drawing, and reading. She is also fond of nature and animals. She gets along exceedingly well with animals, most especially the canine varities.
Powers: Larentia has the power that allows her to turn into a gray timber wolf. All of her physical attributes are altered to become the same as those of the wolf, but her mental attributes (Willpower and Knowledge) remain the same in both forms. Although occasionally, animal insinct might take over her own common sense when she is in her wolf form. When she is in her wolf form, Larentia has all of the abilities of a normal wolf (speed, strength, sense of smell, etc). When Larentia is in her wolf form, she can not communicate with humans verbally,mentally and physically is another matter though. This weakness hinders her a lot, especially when she really needs to make something known. Larentia also has a sever weakness to silver weapons. The silver weapons can kill her if the silver stays in her blood stream long enough, such as a bullet.
Larentia has little problems shifting in to her wolf form, it is second nature to her. However, she has a little trouble shifting out of her wolf form. If she remains as a wolf for longer then 24 hours she finds it extremely hard to revert back to her true form. She also has trouble shifting back to her true form immediately, meaning she generally has to remain a wolf for at least an hour or so before she can revert back. Also, she finds it hard to revert back to her true form if she has been captured and contained in some kind of prison. If the prison is only large enough for a wolf, then it would be impossible for her to revert to her true form.
While in her human form, Larentia has most of the same abilities as a wolf. Her keen sense of smell and eyesight is more than above the average human.She is also physically stronger and faster than the average human. Which is why she would do so well in sports if she chose to participate in them.
Larentia can easily communicate to any of the canine species like a second language, in either of her forms. It is a little harder for her to understand other animals, but she can communicate with them if she concentrates enough ... especially when she is in her wolf form.
Interests: Larentia is a shy and timid girl that does her best to stay out of the spotlight. She has a few friends, but she finds it really hard to meet new people. She generally just does what she has to in school and then dashes home to the life she prefers. Larentia can be found in the library at times, or helping her teachers to grade papers or something. Larentia isn't exactly a loner. She does like to spend time with people and hang out with her friends. She is just incredibly shy and will tend to be silent around people she doesn't know very well. She isn't in any sports or cheerleading activities. However, she attend the Creative Writing and Drawing clubs and classes. She also attends the local animal husbandry club.
Anything else: Larentia doesn't like Amber and her group of followers at all. She always tries to point out their evil ways to her big sister Lecta, simply because Lecta is one of the popular crowd and Larentia doesn't want her to be involved with Amber.
