Character Name: Carrie Okiro
Birth Date: 9/17/5984Current Age: 22
Position: A member of Eliaz's Troups
Physical Appearance:
Carrie appears to be a delicate, petite woman. She has curves in all the right places and looks rather exotic at times. She is small, only averaging at 4’8”. To all appearances, she doesn’t even look as old as she is, more like a child then anything. However, despite her small frame Carrie is a bundle of energy and strength. Her earth origins trace back to Asia, which shows in her facial features and the always tan, caramel color of her skin. She has raven black hair that reaches her shoulders and dark purplish brown eyes.
Like all Jovians, Carrie must wear the black and crimson attire of the military every time she leaves her personnel quarters. She knows that she could wear other clothes during her own personal free time in her rooms, however she really doesn’t mind the outfit and tends to wear it most of the time. On the rare occasion that she isn’t wearing her military attire, Carrie will often wear black and crimson colored clothes despite being free to wear whatever she wants simply because she’s proud to be a part of the military and she wants to show it off. She keeps herself extremely neat and clean. Her clothes are kept laundered and ironed and her hair is always immaculate.
Personality:
Carrie is a very secretive and loyal person. She follows every order she’s given without question. She is the personification of the strict disciplined soldier and she will do everything she can to keep up that image. She is extremely loyal to the Jovian people and would never betray them for anything.
Carrie doesn’t like to socialize, feeling it takes away from her duties as a soldier. Although she will allow herself to befriend her fellow troopers, not even to them does she show her true self. In fact, the only reason she allows herself to befriend her fellow troopers, is that they are around her most of the time.
She's very open to learning new things, especially new military tactics. Carrie is also always looking for a way to advance her career. Carrie isn’t very fond of civilian life and she refuses to have anything to do with them, including her own family members. She only visits them on holidays and other special occasions, simply because she feels it is her duty as a member of the family. Otherwise, she rarely keeps in contact with them.
Although Carrie is a loner by nature, that doesn’t mean she’s a bitch. Carrie prides herself on being understanding of her fellow officers, even the ones that annoy her to death. Carrie doesn’t get along with children well; in her mind, they are not structured and disciplined enough. She prefers people that are as disciplined as she is.
Carrie is not shy and she is not above speaking her own mind. She will say whatever she thinks needs to be said, unless she is in the presence of one of her superiors.
She is a fierce fighter and not above pulling dirty tricks that might give her the advantage she needs. Carrie knows that being a delicate, small woman could cause her problems, especially when battling the larger and stronger opposite sex. This is why she learned at an early age to defend herself with whatever tactics are needed, even if they are a bit underhanded.
History:
Carrie was born into a rich merchant family and into one of the middle levels of the ship. Her parents followed every code in the book, including beating their children when they were disobedient. Carrie and her three older siblings were taught that if you disobey a direct order from your superior then you were beat into submission until you were taught never to do so again.
Her older brothers and sister, was content with following in their parents shoes and taking over the store. They completed their required 5 years of military training and then came back to the store to work.
However, from the time Carrie was 3 years old she admired the orderly motions of the soldiers she saw. She dreamed of one day belonging to such disciplined people. While her brothers and sister were playing their childish games of tag and ball, Carrie would pretend to be a soldier and fight off whatever her commanding officers told her to. Her siblings, all at least 6 years older then Carrie, didn’t mind too much because they didn’t particularly want to play with a baby anyway.
The moment that Carrie turned 5 years old, she entered into her military training eagerly. It was from that moment on that Carrie started to turn away from her family and depend more on her new military family.
She fairly flew through her training, surprising her teachers with her eagerness. Most of the children they trained weren’t always that eager at first, wishing they were at home with their families.
Carrie’s biggest problem was her size; someone bigger and stronger then she was could easily defeat her. One day, knowing how much Carrie wished to be a military soldier, one of her teachers decided to give the young girl a better chance at it. He began to personally train her in all of the dirty and underhanded tricks he had ever learned. He taught her to use the person’s size against them and not to be above using tactics that were not exactly honorable. With this teacher’s aid, Carrie soon became one of the top students in her class.
Through the years, Carrie started on her military career. Doing whatever she was asked to do and always making certain to give it her all. She even took on tasks that other soldiers were wary to take on. She has achieved her rank in Eliaz's Troopers and is happy with it for now, although she does intend to climb higher in the ranks.
