Appearance:

Mori has long bluish - black hair that falls to her waist in soft curls. She always wears a royal blue ribbon around her hair tied in a bow at the top of her hair(kind of an old fashioned hair style....like Pollyanna or the little girl on Mary Poppins). She also always wears a small silver chain with an aquamarine crab for a charm. Her grandmother gave it to her for her 8th birthday and she is never without it. She tends to wear old fashioned clothes..preferring their style to ones of today. She has aqua blue colored eyes and is very small for her age. She looks more like a 13 year old then a 17 year old.

She refuses to wear pants, or any skirt/dress that doesn't go to at least 12 inches below her knees. She also is always immaculate in her appearance, not a hair out of place and not a wrinkle on her clothes anywhere. She wears long white socks that go to her knees that match well with her chosen styles of clothing.

Personality:

Memori is a very lonely girl. She is very kind and loving and really wants to be friends with people, but she tends to doubt that people will want to be friends with her. As a result of this, she tends to avoid people if they start to get to close to her. She is very wary, defensive, and quick to withdraw away from people at the first sign of conflict. She doesn't handle rejection very well either. Memori does not like to take risks and hardly ever exposes her true self to the world for fear of ridicule.

Memori has always been fascinated with water and the creatures that live within it. Whenever she is around water, she doesn't feel as shy and defensive.

Memori also clings to the past, she hates for anything to change and feels very insecure when things do change. When there is a change in her lifestyle, it takes her a very long time to get used to it and will often wish for things to go back the way they use to be. She loves to collect things out of history, such as antiques and trinkets from long ago.

Memori has a very photographic memory and can remember things usually at the first glance of seeing them. She rarely has to study, because after she reads a book...she usually remembers what was written in it. She can also remember lectures that her teachers give her, without even having to write it down.

Dreams/Goals:

Memori wants to be a marine biologist. She has always loved marine animals and so she desires to study them, especially in their own habitat.

History:

Mori grew up in a seaside cottage in England. She lived there with her family until recently, when they all moved to Tokyo because her father got a new job......now she lives in a small apartment with her family. Memori does not like the city and wants to go back to her old home, but her family continues to tell her that she will have a better life here in Tokyo.

She has lived a rather lonely life. The few times that she has made friends, she was usually made a fool of. When she was 8 years old, Mori thought that she had made a best friend in the form of a little girl in her class. However, a week later she happened to hear her 'friend' around the corner talking and laughing with her real friends. Mori was the subject of the day ... her 'friend' was telling the other group every secret that Mori had shared with her, as well as making fun of her. Memori was hurt, but she tried to forget about the girl. All through that year she kept to herself.

On Memori's 12th birthday, she was the recipient of a few painful presents. Her parents were so busy with their research that they forgot it was their daughter's birthday. They left her in the care of a neighbor that hadn't wanted to take care of the girl in the first place. Not only that, her grandmother that had been sick in the hospital for awhile, died. Once again Memori withdrew from people, feeling hurt and betrayed.

By the time her 16th birthday rolled around, Memori was attempting to associate with people once again. She fell in love with this boy from her school. During the relationship, the boy constantly attempted to get Mori into bed with him. He also tried to get Mori to help him cheat on his schoolwork. Memori turned him down each and everytime. A week later, Memori heard the rumors that her 'boyfriend' had spread about her. The rumors were that she had allowed him into her bed, but not only that she had helped him ace his test. The fact that he lied about her wasn't even the biggest hurt dealt to her. It was the fact that her entire school, including the teachers, believed him. Memori was humiliated to be given a 0 on her test, as well as to lose any privileges that she had from being the 'teacher's pet'.

When she arrived home, she was hurt once more to find out that her parents weren't even interested to hear about her day. They were going on about her parent's new job and how they were all going to move to the big city in Tokyo, Japan.

Hurt beyond belief and not at all thrilled to be moving to a new country, Memori threw herself into her studies. She withdrew into her own little world and avoided people at all costs. Memori learned the Japanese language due to her parent's request. By the time the move happened, Memori knew the language as well as she knew the English language.

Where are they now?:

Memori lives with her mother and father in a small apartment in the Juuban district. They have recently moved there from England, because her father got a new job. She really misses her old home in England and wishes to go back.

Senshi description:

The Bodice of the fuku is an aqua blue. The skirt and collar are a navy blue; her bows are a sea green. Her Boots go just below her knees and are the same color as the bodice of her fuku. Her gloves are the same color as her boots and go just above her wrist. Her tiara is silver with a aquamarine gem in the center. The choker around her neck is navy blue and has the symbol of Cancer in silver. her skirt is just a little bit longer then the usual senshi skirt...falling to about 12 inches below her knees. However, this doesn't impede her movements at all because its really kind of a very light & flowing material.

Attack:

"Cancer Aqua Star Stream!" - a swift moving stream of water, bubbles, and gold stars strike out at her opponent with a great force. This attack is the one she uses more often then not. Its not as powerful as her Crab Strike, but its a lot quicker to use.

"Cancer Crab Strike!" - an aqua colored crab formed out of water appears and strikes out at the opponent with its pinchers causing the opponent to go through great pain.

"Cancer Bubble Shield!" - an aqua colored bubble forms around her and protects her from magic attacks. This defensive move does not last through more then one to two attacks. It also will not deflect a physical blow.

Items:

Memori's henshin device is a small silver chain with an aquamarine crab for a charm. In the center of the crab there is a dark blue symbol of Cancer. Her grandmother gave it to her for her 8th birthday and she is never without it.

Henshin:

To henshin, Mori clasps both her hands around her crab charm. She then whispers, "Cancer Power!" An wave of water bursts out of her hands and surrounds her. Once the water dies away, Sailor Cancer is left standing there.

Other:

Sailor Cancer is a member of the Water Zodiac senshi with Sailor Scorpio and Sailor Pisces. She is not the leader and has never desired to be the leader. She is very loyal to her Princess and fellow senshi, although she sometimes has a hard time trusting them.

Sailor Cancer was reborn as Kanizno Memori. She has lived with her parents since she was born and is an only child. When she was 17 years old, she started to have dreams of another life time and that was how she discovered that she was a senshi. She remembers a little of her past life time, but not much of it. The main thing she remembers is her Princess and the fact that she must find her and her fellow senshi, although she has no idea of who any of them might be.

Memori has a few natural powers, such as being able to find water in even a very dry place such as a desert and she can manipulate water into any form she wants...such as ice, liquid..things like that.

Relationships:

Memori has vowed never to fall in love again. It hurts too much when she is betrayed and she doubts very much that there is a person out there for her that wouldn't hurt her. She also has a hard time making friends, simply because she has a hard time trusting anyone. However, she gets along ok with her fellow water senshi ... both the zodiac and the planet senshi.

Writing Sample:

Memori sat on the beach a good distance from the crowd of people. She wrinkled her nose in distaste as she listened to the announcer talk about the surfing competition about to start. She shook her head and glanced down at a few crabs that she had been playing with and murmured, "Competitions mean crowds of people and crowds of people mean lots of trash and absolutely no quiet time. Look at all those people guys, every one of them jostling each other just to get a better look at some people surfing. However, I suppose the competition isn't so bad ... at least its about a water sport."

She giggled quietly to herself and continued playing with the tiny crabs. However, despite herself she was growing interested in the surfing. There was something about a couple of the people ... even from this distance she felt as if she knew them.

Finally, she got up and wandered closer to the water. She didn't want to join the crowd, seeing as how they made her nervous. However, she did want to watch the surfers better. She watched the two surfers the announcer called Tachi and JaaJaa with interest. What was it about those two that seemed so familiar? She was pretty certain she had never seen them before in reality, however...

/Could they be some of the people in my dreams? Is that possible?/ Memori shook her head in denial, however she couldn't shake the thought.

Finally she steeled her nerve and made her way into the crowd. She had to talk to these two people. It was the only way that her mind was going to leave her in peace.

As she made her way through the crowd, she was jostled about ... almost being stepped on a few times. She growled softly as she muttered to herself, "This is one of the reasons I hate crowds ... they don't care about anyone smaller then themselves!"
