Devin isn't what you would call handsome, although he does possess a kind of boyish good looks .. as well as an irrestisable charm.

Devin doesn't really care to wear the clothes that would reflect his station in life. He generally wears whatever suits his mood ... even if its bound to cause people to gossip. He generally never wears much jewelry, except for the pendant he is never seen without.

Personality:

Devin is a very cheerful person that is hardly ever depressed. He believes in everything that King Arthur promotes and plans to do everything within his power to make certain that the kingdom doesn't fall.

Devin is one of those people that really could care less what his station in life is. He enjoys some of the privileges of being an upper class man, however he also enjoys traveling without any of the comforts of home.

Devin generally makes friends with anyone he meets and rarely ever quarrels. On the occasion that he does quarrel with someone, it is merely a friendly little spat.

Devin doesn't really believe in fighting, believing that a person should use their minds more then their strength. However, that doesn't mean that he can't hold his own in a fight.

Devin has been well schooled in using a dagger to his advantage. He also has the art of throwing his dagger at the smallest of targets perfected as well. Another of Devin's talents is being a perfect aim with a bow and arrow. It doesn't take him very long to pull off any variety of difficult shots.

Devin is a very intelligent man. He is a whiz at reading and writing ... and often can be found writing poetry and songs. He isn't really fond of dealing with money, so he makes a point of hiring a trustworthy person to take care of it for him. However, he loves to interact with the peasants he rules over. He can often be found strolling throughout the villages and farmlands just doing his best to be friendly to everyone.

He always makes a point of making certain that the people he rules over know that they can come to him with any kind of problem they have. He always does his best to solve it in whatever way he can. He also always makes a point of ruling fairly, even when it comes to turning down someone's request.

Dreams/Goals:

Devin's dream is to get his wife to love him. He fell in love with her the first day he met her. However, he wouldn't ever cross the lines of friendship, simply because he doesn't want to hurt his wife. However, he does love her and he hopes that one day she will return more then just friendship to him.

He also dreams of one day being a recognized poet. He loves to write poems as well as songs, but he hasn't really been recognized as a great writer except by his friends and family.

History:

Devin was the second born son of the House of Lennox. He was born before King Arthur took the throne. For 6 years Devin's parents taught him the value of respecting living creatures ... both people and animals, no matter what their station in life was.

However that year his entire family, excluding himself, came down with a fatal disease. They died 2 weeks later, leaving Devin the sole survivor of the House of Lennox. Soon after this tragedy, Devin's uncle, his mother's brother, came to take care of the house until Devin became old enough to claim his rightful place.

Devin's uncle, William Henry, was a tyrant who treated the local peasants worse then anything Devin had ever seen. He would beat anyone who didn't come up to his current expectations. He also didn't mind taking his sexual passions out on any slave girl that happened to work in his household ... whether it was a young child or a married woman.

Devin had been taught to never hate anyone, but even as a 6 year old ... he knew that his uncle was a horrible person. However, at the time there was nothing that he could do. Most of the time, Devin did his best to avoid his uncle and aunt .. as well as his 3 older cousins.

He usually spent his time reading any books that he could get his hands on, riding horses, and learning the arts of fighting with a bow and arrow/daggers.

The day he turned 12 years old he made his first trip to the city of Camelot. There he requested a visit to the King, simply because he knew that his father would have wanted him to pay respects to his new King.

After a few days, he received permission to have an audience with the good King Arthur. Once there, it didn't take long for Devin to become a regular visitor. Devin admired King Arthur more then any man he knew, except for perhaps his own father.

Devin continued to make monthly trips to visit King Arthur and his city of Camelot. He also fell in love with the castle library, making certain to visit it at least once whenever he was in Camelot.

On Devin's 16 birthday, he finally got fed up with his uncle after watching a poor man beaten to death simply because he had tried to protect his wife from the clutches of the evil lord. Devin promptly overpowered his aging uncle and took possession of the estate. He threw his Uncle and the rest of his family off the property and began the difficult task of winning his villagers' respect.

A year later, while visiting Camelot's grand library, Devin met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. A woman that stole his heart as easily as a thief would steal from a blind child. This woman, Serefina, was as intelligent as she was beautiful and had pretty much the same interests as he himself had.

However, it didn't take him long to figure out this this angelic woman was not ready to fall in love ... especially with himself. Therefore, the heartbroken man contented himself with becoming her friend.

Devin went home with a heavy heart, but over the next month ... he received a wonderful surprise. The lovely Serefina had chosen him, out of all her suitors, to betrothed to. Devin was ecstatic ... although it was a little disconcerting to realize that while Serefina was indeed marrying him, she would never love him as a husband.

After the glorious consummation of their marriage, Devin has kept his feelings to himself. He would never do anything to make his lovely wife uncomfortable and as long as she wished for them to be just friends ... he would hide his true feelings deep inside, no matter how much it pained him.

After Andrew, Fina's 10 year old brother, came to stay with them ... Devin became as fond of the boy as if he were his own son. However, once again Devin is forced to hide his true feelings ... because he would never cause Andrew any pain by making him feel as if Devin were trying to replace his father.

Where are they now?:

Devin lives with his wife and her brother in his large estates. They live about a day's travel from Camelot.

Senshi description:

Knight of Thunder wears classic Knight armor. The chest displays the crest of Lennox, a grizzly bear surrounded by lightening. The picture is encircled in gold. He carries a shield which also bears the crest on it as well. He also has a bow with a quail of arrows that never seems to empty that he wears on a strap on his back.

Attack:

Thunder Shot - Devin aims one of his arrow and calls out the words, Thunder Shot. The arrow starts to crackle with lightening that tends to give the arrow both speed and strength. The moment he releases the arrow it flies toward his target and pierces into the strongest of armors, releasing the energy upon impact.

Items:

Devin always wears a gold pendant with his crest on the center of it. He doesn't know where he got it, its just always been with him. When Devin is awakened, he discovers that he can use this pendant to transform.

Henshin:

Thunder clasps both hands around his pendant and yells, "Power of Thunder!" Lightening bursts from the pendant and crackles around his body. Then it dies away and he is standing in his Knight gear.

Other:

Devin loves to write poetry. He writes it constantly and will often ramble on outloud while trying to write his poetry. He sings quite nicely with a rich bass voice that compliments his wife's voice perfectly. He also likes astrology, though not nearly as much as his wife does.

Relationship:

Devin and Serefina act more like good friends, instead of like husband and wife. Devin loves his wife deeply, but he knows that she is not ready for a love of that kind. He often despairs of her ever loving him, but he vowed to himself that he would not pressure her into such a relationship. After their wedding night, Devin never touched his wife again beyond a friendly gesture. He refused to give into his desires until his wife wanted him to.

Writing Sample:

Devin stared heartbrokenly at the graves of his family. He wanted to cry but wouldn't let himself, after all his big brother had always told him that men didn't cry.

He swallowed the tears reluctantly and turned away. He needed to get away from here ... he needed to run from the pain that was engulfing him. Two weeks ago everything had been happy, he had loving parents and a great big brother that he looked up to. Now he was all alone with no one to care about him.

Devin whimpered slightly as he realized just how alone he really was. Who was going to take care of him now? He still had Nana Kate, whose real name was Kateline, she would always be there .. she had promised him that she would never leave. Nana Kate was both his and his brother's nanny. She had been with the family since Devin's brother was born. She would take care of him, he knew that ... but she could never replace his family.

The red haired little boy turned and headed back to where Nana was waiting. She hugged him tightly and headed for home, whispering comforting things in his ear the whole way, but Devin still felt like crying. He was well aware that nothing would ever be the same again.

Two weeks later, Devin received another shock. His mother's brother had come to take care of the estate until Devin was old enough to do so. Devin had never met his uncle and aunt, his parents had never even talked about them before.

Devin immediately disliked his Uncle William and his Aunt Elizabeth . They were so different from anyone he had ever met before. Instead of the loving people that his parents had been, his aunt and uncle seemed to hate everything and everyone around them.

Devin attempted to get along with his new family, but they always tried to make life miserable for him. Uncle William would constantly punish him for no reason at all and Aunt Elizabeth wouldn't even look at him without sneering. Devin's older cousins were the worst of all, they bullied him to no end. William Earl, the oldest being 16, would force Devin to do anything that William himself didn't want to do. Milton Henry, the 14 year old, would always try to beat Devin up. While the youngest child of 12, Elizabeth Marie, would always tease and torment him ... as well as force him to do whatever she wanted.

For a month after his new family came Devin contented himself by remaining near to Nana Kate, she would do everything she could to protect him. However, one day ... only a few hours after she had protected him from the bullying William Earl, he found her in tears with her clothes packed in a bag.

"Nana Kate ... what's wrong? Why are you crying?" The young child hated to see anyone cry and promptly climbed into his nanny's lap to hug her.

Kateline smiled at the little boy that she loved more then anything and tried to cheer up for him. "Devie ... I'm ok sweetheart. Its just ... well I'm missing your parents is all."

Devin hugged her tighter and whispered, "I miss mommy and daddy too ... Albert too. I want them to come back Nana ... I want things to go back to the way they were."

Kateline held the boy tighter and wished with all her heart that she could take him away from here. She knew that no matter how much she loved the boy, his uncle would never give him up. Devin was worth to much to the horrible man. Without his nephew, William Henry had no real claim to this estate. She had hoped to be able to stay with him, to protect him and continue to teach him everything his parents had believed in. However, she couldn't stay here any longer. She had pushed her luck today by preventing young William Earl from tormenting her young charge.

She trembled slightly from remembrance of the older William visiting her just hours before. He had beat her and then took out his pleasures on her. She shuddered slightly as her mind called up horrible images of him raping her.

She of course had cleaned up afterwards, but she knew in her heart that she couldn't stay here. Besides, Lord William had ordered her out of the house by that evening. He had told her that he wouldn't let her baby Devin any longer, especially if she felt she had the right to order his own son around.

Kateline hugged Devin close, knowing this was probably the last time she would see him ever again. She then set the child on the bed and softly said, "Devie ... I can't stay here anymore. I know I promised you I would never leave but ..."

Her voiced cracked and she had to swallow back another sob before continuing, "Your uncle has ordered me out of the house. He says that I baby you to much and that he doesn't want you to grow up to be a ... well he wants you to grow up like his own sons."

Devin could feel tears stinging at the corners of his eyes, but like usual he fought the urge to cry. "Nana Kate ... I don't want you to leave. I don't want to be like Uncle William and his family. Please Nana .. please stay!!" By the end of his words, his tone had risen in panic. He needed Nana Kate, she was the only thing left of his old life. She couldn't leave him ... she promised to stay, to love him.

Kateline closed her eyes at the torment she saw in Devin's green eyes. The child had sustained more pain then a child his age ought to have experienced.

She pulled Devin close and whispered into his hair, "I'm so sorry love ... I want to stay. I don't want to leave you here Devin, but I have no choice. If I don't leave your uncle may change his mind about letting me leave and sell me to horrible people. I can't take that chance Devie, there are horrible people in this world. I know you don't understand, but you will one day. Please know that I love you ... I love you like I would if you were my own son."

He nodded miserably and did his best to fight the tears beginning to fall. Devin flung his arms about her neck and cried, "I'll miss you Nana ... will I ever see you again?"

Kateline closed her eyes in pain once more as she whispered, "I'm sorry Devie ... I have to go far away. I'm heading to the town my sister works in. I doubt we'll see each other ever again."

She hugged him tightly one last time and set him down. She then picked up her bag and added, "Devie ... don't change. Don't turn into your uncle. Please ... I know the next few years are going to be hard, but never forget your parents and what they taught you. You were well loved Devie .. never forget that."

She then turned and ran out of Devin's life and onto her new one. Devin stared after her a long time before murmuring, "Bye Nana ... I won't forget."
