Character: Anti-Villian - Sweet Angel

Character Name: Mangetsuno Setsuriakari (Kari for short)
Meaning: Devine Light of the Full Moon
Age: 16
Birthday: June 27
Sign: cancer

Appearance:

Kari has long silvery-white hair that falls to her ankles in soft waves. She always wears her hair in a customary hairstyle for her, although many people think it's unusual. She always wears it down so that it flows around her like a silver cape, although she does keep it pinned with barrettes. Her eyes are a clear, deep, crystal blue that shine brightly with every one of her emotions. She's one of those people that cannot mask her emotions, because whatever she is thinking shines clearly within her gaze. When she is angry, her eyes tend to turn an icy silver blue, but generally she doesn't really get angry.

Kari is very small in stature, only averaging at 4'9". She has a slender figure, although she is graced with very attractive curves.

Kari is the very picture of innocence and light.. She resembles a pixie or a fairy of sorts, with her slender build, silverish hair, and her bright fathomless eyes.

She is pale, but not sickly pale, she just has clear almost translucent pale skin, long lashes, pouty lips, and delicate features, like a china doll. She never wears make up because her skin is just fine with out it.

When she isn't transformed, Kari usually wears white and silver dresses and skirts, some of them falling to her ankles, while others only go to her knees. She has never been known to wear pants, preferring to look feminine in every way. She can also be found to always have a pair of silver pearl barrettes in her hair, a pair of silver pearl earrings in her ears, a silver pearl bracelet, and a pendant that is a small dark blue stone with a shining silver star in the middle of it. The stone is on a fine chain made of silver. Kari also always wears a midnight blue cloak, sometimes with the hood pulled up to mask her features, sometimes leaving it down. The cloak clasps at her throat by a silver star pin. She wears a pair of delicate white slippers. She also has a silver dagger, although it is never actually seen since she keeps it hidden under her cloak.

Personality:

Kari has a bright personality and a love of life. She is friendly to a fault and will even chatter on about different things to a complete stranger. She also has a love of being outside and can often be found walking around outside just enjoying herself.

She is really an innocent in the way that she thinks and often puts herself into some hurtful situations because she finds it hard to believe that people would want to hurt her.

Kari doesn't like to fight, although she is fiercely protective of the people she loves. Therefore, if someone that she loves is in danger, she will fight to keep them safe.

Kari believes in trusting someone until they prove untrustworthy and she also believes in making people smile. If she sees a child crying, or a person that is down for some reason, Kari will go against the very rules she is forced to live by and use her magic to "try" and make them feel better. She will often lull the child, or person to sleep by singing to them, using a special song that she heard a beautiful lady named Aradia singing in one of her own dreams. She will then do her best to give the person/child happy and comforting dreams.

Although Kari can act like a naive airhead at times, she is a very clever girl. Her favorite tactics are to trick her enemies into believing whatever she wants them to, she often embarrasses them. Kari also has quite an imagination, and amuses herself by writing stories and poetry or even sometimes playing silly make believe games with smaller children.

Dreams/Goals:

Kari dreams of a day when the world will be at peace, a day when everyone will work together and be happy. She hopes to one day rid the world of the Soubou with the help of her friends.

History:

Kari was born into a family that was as different from her as light and dark. She was always the outcast of the family. She grew up watching her parents and her two big brothers terrorize the neighborhood. She was well aware of the fact that her father and brothers were a part of the gangs that ran wild through the town. Her mother was a prostitute as well as a thief.

As Kari grew up she began to feel sorry for her family and everyone else that she could see filled with darkness. The Soubou were definitely a group of people she felt sorry for.

She began to read everything she could about the goddess, Aradia, knowing that she could bring light and peace to everyone in the city. Many times she was forced to hide her efforts from her family, who simply didn't understand her obsession with light and goodness.

Kari knew that despite her terrible family, she was lucky. Her family had never harmed her in anyway. Most times they simply ignored her and pretended she didn't exist, unless they saw her researching Aradia. At times like that, they would lock her in her bedroom without meals for a day. There was one time, on Kari's 15th birthday, that in a moment of weakness, Kari's mother told her that she was the only good thing that had ever been given to her. It was on that day that Kari realized that these people weren't truly evil, they were simply living in a town that was drove them into their lifestyles. She vowed that she would do everything possible to save the city from darkness.

On her 16th birthday, Kari found the very book that she had been looking for. It was a book with incantations to summon the different gods and goddesses of the world.

After searching through the night, Kari found the incantation that she desired. She waited until midnight the next night, when the full moon was at its highest. That was when she began her summons to the goddess Aradia.

Where are they now?:

Kari lives with her family in a condo somewhere in downtown Kogono Tokyo. Her family loves being in the center of things, especially when there is trouble happening. Kari however, wishes that she didn't have to see the evils going on about her. She desperately wishes that she could help rid the world of the evilness and darkness that it has sunk into. She has never met Aradia, except for perhaps in her dreams.

Warrior description:

Sweet Angel wears dress of purest white with a full flowing skirt that falls to her ankles, with short sleeves. There is a second layer of transparent silver chiffon over her skirt that includes long sleeves that reach her wrists. She wears a white belt that has a silver pearl buckle. She also has a silver cloak with hood that clasps at her throat with a silver star pin. The cloak is large enough that she could hide all of her features within it. She has delicate white sandals with a silver pearl buckles. She wears a pair of silver pearl earrings and a silver pearl bracelet on her left arm. Her dagger can be found tucked neatly into her belt. She also has a pair of white, feathered wings that resemble an angel's wings. She can use these wings to fly with or to hover slightly off the ground.

Henshin sequence:

To henshin, Kari bows her head and closes her eyes before clasping both her hands around her pendant. She then whispers, "Power of the Angels, please help me protect the ones I love ..." A silver light emits from the pendant surrounding Kari in a kind of globe of light. The light becomes so bright that it effectively blocks anyone's view from what is going on inside. Once the light dies away, Sweet Angel is kneeling there in a praying position with her cloak and skirt puddled around her.

Attack:

Angel Light - this attack generates a small silver ball that she can throw at her enemy, once it hits its target the ball explodes with a brilliant flash of silver light.

Angel Wall - this attack is actually a defensive measure. It creates a silver shield of light around herself that can protect her from energy based attacks, this shield can not deflect physical blows but does wear on her strength so that she can only hold it up for a limited time, she can encase up to two other people within her shield if they are close to her ... although this wears on her strength even faster.

Items:

Kari's henshin device is a pendant that is a small, dark-blue stone with a shining silver star in the middle of it. The stone is on a fine chain made of silver. Kari found this pendant on one of her digs to find objects that pretained to Aradia. It was on one of her very first digs at the age of 12 that she found this pendant buried deep in the earth of a ruined building.

Kari also possesses a small silver dagger that she keeps in the folds of her cloak. As Sweet Angel, this dagger is found tucked into her belt. She uses this dagger to protect herself, and can use it both as Kari and as Sweet Angel.

Relationship:

Kari loves her family, especially her mother, although they hardly pay any attention to her. She doesn't have any true friends, simply because everyone she knows thinks of her as an outcast. This doesn't really bother Kari, although she does get lonely at times.

Although Kari loves everyone she meets, she hasn't ever experienced the joy of real true love. Although she craves having someone special to spend her life with, she's actually a little afraid of loving someone that much. She's seen a lot of horrible things that happened to people simply because they loved someone. Therefore, she would to shy away from relationships of that kind, even if she ever found anyone to love like that.

Other:

Due to her loneliness, Kari has the habit of talking to herself sometimes. Also, despite the area she is living in, Kari has managed to remain as pure and innocent as she was born. She's definitely naive about intimate relationships, as she's still a virgin.

Writing Sample:

Kari wiped a smudge of dirt off of one of her cheeks as she paused in her searching. She glanced around the destroyed library and muttered, "Why do the Soubou have to cause so much destruction?"

She shook her head in sorrow and answered herself, "Silly girl, the Soubou cause destruction because that's all they know. If I can ever find a way to get Aradia's attention, perhaps I can fix that."

Kari began shifting through the debris one more time as she continued muttering to herself. "What's the likelihood of a book to summon gods and goddesses would be at this library if it wasn't anywhere else."

She sighed and climbed out of the ash to sit on a crumbled pillar. "Not very likely Kari, after all, you've been searching for a year now." She leaned back against the pillar she was sitting on and nervously fiddled with the pendant around her neck. "I have to be able to find that book, its the only way I know of to help this town."

She glanced up at the setting sun and murmured, "I better be getting back home now. It's getting late and there are all sorts of things that can happen to a young girl out here at night. At least that's what mama says..."

Kari started to get up when out of the corner of her eye she saw a glimmer of something in the ash. She immediately headed to where she saw it and started to dig. After a few moments of hard work, Kari unearthed a strange looking book without a title. The book was bound in brown leather with strange gold designs on the cover. It didn't take her long to realize she had something special. She hugged the book closely and murmured, "Thank you Aradia, for helping me to find it. I just know this book is what I've been looking for."

She quickly skipped her way home and up to her bedroom where she hid the book. It was torture to have to wait until her family had gone to bed before opening the book, but she managed to make it. All through the night, she flipped through the book, delighted to find that it was indeed a book that had incantations to summon different gods and goddesses in it. Finally as the dawn was just beginning to peek over the horizon she found what she was looking for.

She ran her finger down the page as she murmured, "Full Moon Shining Bright, Midnight on the Water, Oh, Aradia, Diana's Silver Daughter, One of light rising, One of magic, One of purity: Lend your aid!"

She smiled happily as she continued, "Chant this three times and Aradia will come to you..."

She quickly hid the book and giggled happily, "Now I can do something to aid this city. Aradia, oh please answer my summons tonight."
